Business Partners / Management

  • 65%

of business projects fail before they start because partners cannot resolve disagreements.
    (Noam Wasserman, Harvard Business School)
  • 49%

of managers are not effective at handling conflict. (DDI Global Leadership Forecast)
  • 4.3 hours

per week in average are lost per employee dealing with workplace conflict.
    (Kilmann Diagnostics 2023; SHRM 2023;
    Myers-Briggs Company 2020)
These statistics speak for themselves — conflict has a real cost. There’s no need to explain why resolving it matters.

Still, management often turns to consultants for business strategy, but far less often for support with people and relationships. Yet this is where many of the biggest risks — and opportunities — are found.

How Partnership Coaching Can Help

in conflict resolution and building stronger partnerships:
Step 1 — Diagnostic + Consultations on Results
Both partners/managers complete a JobEQ assessment. The results are then discussed in one individual consultation with each partner and one joint consultation. This makes the root causes of conflict visible — whether they come from goals, roles, values, or communication styles.
Often, this step alone is enough — once the real source of conflict is visible, partners can already work together more effectively.
Step 2 — Coaching Contract
Based on the diagnostic results, we agree on a coaching plan that combines individual and joint sessions. The focus is on building clear communication, defining roles and responsibilities, and creating a partnership framework that both partners can rely on.
Step 3 — Results and Next Steps
By the end of the coaching process, partners see the concrete results of their work: clearer communication, defined roles, and a stronger, more sustainable way of working together. We also agree on practical next steps to keep the partnership effective over time.

Every conflict is different, and so are the partners.

For some, understanding the root cause is enough.
For others, additional coaching helps to make the change last.
